Manufacturas Alhambra S.L. located in the province of Alicante since 1965, with 50 years of experience in the construction of the best handmade classical, flamenco and steel string guitars in the world. It has more than 14.000 square meters used for creating unique pieces using a perfect union between the tradition of handmade work and the most modern woodworking techniques.

Make constant support for guitar festivals and young talents. For the first time in 2020 Alhambra Guitars collaborates with a scholarship of 6,000 euros.

After a competitive selection process, the selected student has been Hugo Enrique Sánchez López from Mexico, Valeriá Torregrosa and Juan Sanchís have presented the scholarship on behalf of Alhambra Guitars.

Hugo Enrique chose the Alhambra guitar with which he will play in his recitals and classes throughout the six-month duration of the Master in Classical Guitar Performance at the University of Alicante. The model chosen was a José Miguel Moreno C Series guitar.

Curriculum

Guitarist from Oaxaca, state in southern Mexico. Graduated in 2018 on Bachelor of Music of the Universidad Veracruzana with the highest qualification and special mention of the jury. He has won more than 10 awards in national and international guitar competitions held in Mexico, including the first place in the “Alfonso Moreno” National Contest, Xalapa 2019, “Ramón Noble” National Contest, Pachuca 2019, First National Contest, San Luis Potosí 2019 and in the III National Contest, Zapopan 2017.

He has taken master classes with Pavel Steidl, Remí Boucher, Giampaolo Bandini, Mauro Zanatta, Pablo Garibay, Roberto Aussel, Alfredo Sánchez, Horacio Franco, Claudio Marcotulli, among others.

In 2018, Mexican composer Rafael Cameras Myers dedicates his work Yaxal Wilel (Blue Flight), winner of the second place in II International Composition Competition for Guitar of America 2018 organized in Venezuela, which premiered in November 2019.
