The University of Alicante organizes the Master in Classical Guitar Performance from January to June.

This master is a completely new experience offered to 14 guitarists, a unique opportunity to improve their knowledge and practice of the instrument with professors selected from the most renowned virtuosi in the world: Manuel BARRUECO, David RUSSELL, Hopkinson SMITH, Nigel NORTH, Ignacio RODES, Roberto AUSSEL, Carles TREPAT, Sérgio y Odair ASSAD, Paul O’DETTE, Fabio ZANON, Shin-Ichi FUKUDA, Pepe ROMERO, Paul GALBRAITH, Stefano GRONDONA, Ricardo GALLÉN, Keigo FUJII, Xavier DÍAZ-LATORRE, Jordi SAVALL, Álvaro PIERRI, Jakob LINDBERG, Tilman HOPPSTOCK; dancer Tanja SKOK, neuroscientist Víctor CANDIA and conductor Mihnea IGNAT.

There is a limit of 14 students for each Masters course.

Every two weeks a different professor visits to give them masterclasses. Each student has two one-hour public masterclasses in that week, and all students must attend all the masterclasses; this totals at 32 hours’ of masterclasses in the one week.

Every aspect of living has been organised for the Masters course, so that the students only need to focus on their studies.

ADDA Recitals

From January to June, a guitar series of seven recitals at ADDA Auditorium by the master professors.

Student Recitals

As part of the Master training, all students have the opportunity to perform three recitals around the province of Alicante.

Each student will offer three performances, 30 minutes long.

Student Residence. San Roque

Master students have the opportunity of living in a historic building – San Roque – located in the very heart of Alicante for a low monthly rental price about EUR 140-260 all inclusive.

It is located in the upper side of the old town, on the slopes of Monte Benacantil, adjoins the Ereta Public Park and 700m. walking to the beach.
